Business Development: Call centre agent


Reporting to the department head, the successful candidates will form part of a large team of call centre agents.


  • Calling people interested in studying at the UOC and providing them with advice, based on commercial and educational factors.
  • Settling the potential students' doubts during the conversation.
  • Encouraging and motivating the potential students to study at the UOC.
  • Reaching the enrolment targets specified in the commercial plan.

The successful candidate will be awarded an open-ended contract with an attractive fixed rate salary plus bonuses based on results. They should be available to start immediately. The UOC will provide training to enable successful performance of the job.

The contract will be for 29 hours a week, working afternoons and evenings: 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. from Monday to Thursday, and 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Fridays.

Because of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, the successful candidate will work from home until the circumstances change. However, once the situation has improved, the workplace will be the UOC's Tibidabo building: Av. Tibidabo, 39-43, Barcelona.

What we are looking for:

  • Telephone sales and/or call centre experience.
  • Excellent Catalan and Spanish skills, both spoken and written.
  • Sales closure and negotiation skills, clear communication abilities, with a student-satisfaction orientation.
  • Proactive approach.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Goals- and results-oriented.
  • Customer-oriented.

We also value:

  • University education.
  • Knowledge of the UOC's educational model.
  • Experience and knowledge of the education/higher education sector.
  • Experience in sales relating to education (highly valued).
