Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences: EHealthlit4Teen Project Research Assistant

The selected person will be incorporated as a Research Assistant for the eHealthlit4Teen project. Learning itineraries for digital mental health in school-aged adolescents in Barcelona. Use, contents and formats of communication through social networks” at the PSiNET research group of the Studies of Psychology and Education Sciences at the University.

The project aims to analyse literacy and the dynamics of digital communication on mental health content in adolescents on social networks in Barcelona in order to propose an intervention in digital mental health literacy through secondary schools.

Functions:

Under the direct supervision of the Principal Investigator of the project, the following tasks will have to be carried out:

- Support and management of fieldwork with secondary schools in Barcelona

- Contact the centers for the management of the interview and survey agenda

- Data collection in person at schools

- Administration of face-to-face surveys (via computer in schools) to ESO students and teachers

- Face-to-face interviews with students, teachers and health professionals at the Center

- Data analysis and management with specialized software

- Analysis of services and communication networks of schools

- Analysis of services and communication networks of the Network in adolescent mental health available in BCN

There will be a contract for 4 months part-time (19.25 hours/week) with the intention of joining on September 1 and possible extension, depending on the funding requested.

The reference job will be the UOC headquarters in Poblenou, Barcelona (District 22@), with an agreed telework.

 

What we are looking for:

- Degree in: Communication, Psychology or Psychopedagogy

- Knowledge in Social Networks (especially those used by young people)

- Languages: Domain of Catalan and Spanish

- English: B2 level

- Knowledge of software for data analysis (SPSS and AtlasTi 9)

- Office tools as a user (word processor, spreadsheet, databases, etc.)

- Ability for interpersonal relationships and for verbal and written communication

- High level of initiative and ability to organize and work in a team

We also value:

- Experience in research projects
